2021 has been another year of experiencing the faithfulness of God in and through our ministry. At a Seattle Church, we plan and organize around a fiscal calendar that runs from January to December. All of our discipleship planning, dreaming and stewardship are directly dependent upon God’s provision through your generosity. Your giving directly impacts our ability to see the vision of A Seattle Church flourish in Seattle and beyond.

For those of you who have continuously given out of a joyful and compassionate heart, thank you! We want to invite our whole church to partner together in the work God is doing in this city at this time, through our local church by giving radically. This is an opportunity to give above and beyond your normal tithes and offerings to be a part of something special. A Seattle Church brings in 36% ($125,000) of its revenue around the holidays. Your gifts will help us close out this year with abundant resources to set us up for the next season.

After a globally challenging 2020, we rejoice in some of the things God has done in our community in 2021:

  • We spent a majority of this last year in a Habits sermon series to set our hearts, minds, and actions toward following Jesus for a lifetime.

  • On May 9th we had our first in-person gathering, after 15 months of online only gatherings. We have had no reported incidents of COVID-19 spreading from our weekly gatherings.

  • We connected with more than 280 new people who signed up to take the next step in our discipleship process at ASC.

  • 68 people stepped up to serve during our Sunday gatherings.

  • 111 People signed up to join a small group.

  • We developed a healthy serving culture and leadership development pipeline.

  • Gave close to $20,000 back to other church planting organizations.

  • Gave over $30,000 to other non-profits around the Seattle area including Street Youth Ministries, Live Salted, DADS, World Relief & Union Gospel Mission.

  • After a much needed sabbatical for our small group leaders, 10 small groups were launched across the city.

  • We successfully implemented a livestream service to those who could not  join us in person.

  • Continued to cultivate a strong collaboration between ASC staff and council

  • Brought on Brice Herrick  full time. Increased Nthabi Mushi’s role . Added Richard Taylor & Allen Wong to our team.

  • 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting this fall with daily prayer calls covering our city, nation, world, and church in prayer.

  • At near-max capacity for our in-person gatherings, and we are looking ahead at how to make more space for neighbors and those who call ASC home.

“This year, I found myself at a crossroads trying to make some pretty big decisions with my career. I’m so thankful for my small group and others in the ASC community who helped me through the process of quitting my job and pursuing a new career path, providing prayer and encouragement along the way. I learned that God is in control and at work, especially in the uncertainties of life. Learning to let go of my plans and step into what God is doing, while still working through my own questions and doubts, has deepened my relationship with God and taught me to trust in Him.”

Joe Yang

Serving on the worship team at ASC has taught me about obedience and leaning into God’s calling. I have been so encouraged by my team and it is a privilege to be able to create a space where the congregation can have an experience with God through worship.

Emma Yacovelli

“I have identified that individualism is an issue I struggle with & sought to fight that by participating thru serving in the church with ASC Kids & Facilities.”

Josh Brown

“I have learned how to pray for other people more, how to pray specifically & I have learned how to pray in the authority that Jesus has given me to specifically bless people instead of having wishful thinking.”

Rachel Lock

Being able to be a part of the worship team here at ASC has been such a blessing to me. Worshipping through song is just my favorite way to praise God, and I have loved having this opportunity to grow in the gifts God has given me. God is so faithful and so good, even when we’re in the midst of trials and all we can do is lift our hands. I come back to this verse often: “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” Colossians 3:16

Alyssa Pack

God is always near, always speaking. He is patiently waiting for us to listen/seek Him (Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬). No matter what we are going through, He not only speaks through our own situations, dreams, visions, songs, time with His word (Joel 2:28), but also through the church community. Each part of the body of Christ (community of believers) is equipped with gifts and talents that demonstrate God's goodness, offering a glimpse of heaven on Earth to encourage & heal both believers and non-believers to share the Gospel of Christ Jesus on Earth (1 Corinthians 12:7). God uses the joyful moments and the hard moments in life to encourage those around us when we intentionally reach out to our community and become vulnerable with each other.
